OMG St Kilda lost and Melbourne won. What is wrong with the world?
Well, it was bound to happen sometime but in the same round?
In case you don’t know, I don’t REALLY think there’s something wrong with that, I’m just exaggerating
Romper if you don’t like a question don’t answer it. And why would you think I have an American accent, I’ve never been there before.
BTW all I’m saying is that it’s a strange coincidence, not that I’m that amazed by the Dees beating Freo

Melbourne did beat Freo in Melbourne. Which isnt a real shock.
Well, there is nothing wrong, that’s the nature of the game…you have a some odditites here and there.
It was strange that Saints lost but Melbourne won wasn’t I think (or would have thought) that they would go in favourites against Fremantle at home.
Yeah, you wouldn’t have tipped it earlier in the year.
Melbourne beating Freo wasn’t a great surprise but smashing them was. The shock of the round though, was Essendon beating St Kilda. Even being up by 43 points shocked people who had just turned on the radio or the TV. It was a great win to Essendon. And Melbourne for that matter.
MELBOURNE DEF FREMANTLE BY 63 POINTS
ESSENDON DEF STKILLDA BY 2 POINTS
WHAT A MESS!!
WOAH both of those results shocked me. When I saw the dockers score, I thought that the people down at seven had mucked up the scores — but how wrong was i?! Turns out it was the dockers who mucked up! I hope they win the spoon.
Essendon came to play on the day – and people seem to forget the first time around they only lost by 19 to the Saints – one of the closer losses.
This time, they came from a slow start, but had to fight tooth and claw to hold on for the win – it’s to their credit they got the four points.
As for Fremantle – well, they’re like Port Adelaide – two completely different teams (though Port didn’t show their full capability against Carlton – and played only two quarters realistically while Carlton played in three). At Home the Dockers are quite good, but away they’re woeful – and both sides got belted by Melbourne
As for me, everything’s fine – Carlton have finally made the finals.
The only thing keep freemantle out from wooden spoon is the games they play at subi if they melbourne have games like that at home they at least will get 7 wins.
To the record the 3 out of 4 games melbourne won are against wc,port, freo at mcg. The only lost they get against non victorian team at home was against adelaide for this last 2 years.
The Saints have top position with the double chance in the bag. Essendon were fighting to stay in the eight. Sometimes sheer desire to win will beat ability. Besides, Essendon had a record of sorts to protect — the second longest run of wins in VFL/AFL history.
Melbourne are not as bad as a lot of “experts” think they are. And Fremantle are somewhat overrated, they seem to believe that being the best from the west is good enough to beat the rest (huh? I’m a poet, and I didn’t know it!!)
