Why does nearly everyone thin kthat Melbourne of all clubs are the next Geelong?
St.Kilda are already there when Geelong start to fall they are already there being the dominant team Melbourne will be the next North Melbourne they wont jump up to were Geelong are right now, they have to much improveing to go through you can’t go from bottom side to top side.
But my question is “Why does a majority of the forumers here think that Melbourne are the next “Real Deal”?
The small amount of people that said Geelong would be the next Essendon were laughed at, who’s laughing now?
Melbourne will eventually get a strong side with young stars, Geelong was 13th and a tyical bottom 8 side, yet they jumped up and dominated.
EDIT – Icon of wrestling – I now have proof you are only 12 yrs old, anyone older would remember that Essendon were dominant in 2000, winning every game they played that year except round 21 where they lost to the bulldogs by 3 points, they had the best season on record so far. Essendon were dominant for 3 years from 1999 – 2001 but just had 1 cup to show for it….JUST LIKE GEELONG. Imbecile.

I honestly think teams like Fremantle and Richmond are going to be the next big side in a few years. They’ve got some ripper young players coming through. Kangas are looking the goods also with their young players and coach Crocker.

Because Melbourne has picked up A LOT of new skillful kids im a dogs man myself but i can see why they would think that but i don’t think Melbourne has a chance right now maybe in about hmmm 6 years that’s saying if these young flashy players come through for them but otherwise they may be the next Richmond.
i think west coast and have a really good chance in the future Ive watched them and think there the next geelong honestly.
